CMB Financial Leasing successfully landed its first domestic project company’s satellite leasing business (satellite leasing)

Recently, CMB Financial Leasing has partnered with a leading domestic commercial aerospace enterprise to successfully launch the first domestic project company’s satellite leasing business. This lease is for the first low orbit satellite IoT communication constellation in China – Tianqi Constellation, with an initial investment of nearly 30 million yuan. The smooth implementation of this business marks a solid step forward for CMB Leasing in serving the strategy of building a strong aerospace country, supporting the construction of national key equipment, and practicing the concept of technological innovation.
In October 2024, the State Administration of Financial Supervision and Administration approved the official implementation of the policy for financial leasing companies to expand their leasing properties, and explicitly supported the exploration and expansion of the positive list of project companies in Tianjin through pilot projects, covering multiple fields such as new energy equipment, mining machinery, agricultural machinery, and satellites.
