2025年10月16日Aerospace Hongtu was established in 2008 and is a leading provider of satellite operation and application services in China. It is the only remote sensing application enterprise among the first batch of listed companies on the Science and Technology Innovation Board. The company has developed a remote sensing and geographic information integration software PIE (Pixel Information Expert) with completely independent intellectual property rights, and has the first remote sensing and geographic information cloud service platform PIE Engine in China, realizing the localization replacement of remote sensing basic software.
According to the agreement, the Aerospace Hongtu project will rely on the computing power resources of the National Supercomputing Tianjin Center, undertake some of the R&D functions of the Beijing headquarters, and build a 100 person R&D and operation team around the Aerospace Hongtu 1 satellite operation center, satellite application technology R&D center, satellite application service center, etc. Based in Tianjin and radiating to the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, it will provide urban remote sensing monitoring services, Beidou high-precision location services, industry information services, etc. Combining enterprise technological resources with the advantages of intelligent manufacturing industry in Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone, a drone research and development manufacturing base will also be established in Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone.
