2025年12月2日China Youth Daily Client News (Reporter Jia Jiye, CYD·CYW) In Changchun to buy optical instruments, in Xi’an to find microwave antennas, in Shanghai to purchase solar wings… Nowadays, satellite manufacturers often have to travel across China’s east, west, south, and north to fully procure satellite components. This situation will soon be transformed by a new platform.
On April 18, the China Academy of Space Technology launched the “Commercial Aerospace Excellence Supply Platform” in Hangzhou, marking the nation’s first “supermarket” for the entire commercial satellite industry chain. The platform enables online transactions for satellite payload products, core component products, and key production and service technologies, encompassing features such as a product catalog, online marketplace, and offline retail stores.
Upon completion, the platform will fully leverage Hangzhou’s regional advantages and the technical and brand strengths of the China Academy of Space Technology to establish an open ecosystem featuring market collaboration, technological synergy, and industrial integration. Through “modular design + industrialized production + integrated services,” it will drive the standardization, modularization, intelligence, digitalization, and safe development of commercial aerospace technologies and products, while fostering supply chain growth.
Under the support and guidance of national policies, China’s commercial space industry has flourished. In recent years, the China Academy of Space Technology has accelerated the construction of a distinctive commercial space development system, deeply implementing the “3+1” Excellence Product Plan centered on outstanding product development, exceptional supply chain building, superior supply platform development, and top-tier talent cultivation. The recently launched Excellence Supply Platform represents a crucial step in this endeavor.
At the platform launch event, the China Academy of Space Technology signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hangzhou City, aiming to comprehensively deepen innovation. As the hub for this strategic collaboration, West Lake District in Hangzhou is committed to building a highland for the commercial aerospace industry, with eight key projects signed on-site.
A relevant official from the China Academy of Space Technology stated that the institute will further deepen its collaboration with local governments and work with commercial aerospace enterprises to jointly build an efficient and diversified industrial ecosystem.
