At the end of this month, Huantian Smart Technology Co., Ltd. will launch 4 high-performance commercial satellites, and plans to launch another round of launches in December and early next year. By then, Huantian Smart’s in orbit satellites will reach 20, and it is expected to form the second largest commercial satellite constellation in the country. On November 18th, the 2025 Tianfu Digital Economy Conference was held in Chengdu. Yang Zhenyu, Vice General Manager of Huantian Intelligence, who attended the conference, revealed to reporters the recent launch plan.

In 2022, Huantian Intelligence successfully launched 10 high-resolution optical satellites in two phases, completing the first phase of the “Huantian Constellation” networking task. As a result, Meishan ranked first in the southwest in terms of the number of commercial remote sensing satellites. The ‘Celestial Constellation’ sends back TB level image data daily, covering a cumulative area of over 550 million square kilometers, providing over 1500 precise services for national land monitoring, urban experience, disaster prevention and reduction, and more. ”Yang Zhenyu said that in practice, it has also been found that many parts of southwestern China are covered by clouds and mist all year round, which greatly affects the operation of optical satellites. The upcoming satellites include radar imaging satellites, which can continue to work under complex weather conditions such as night, cloudy, and haze, enabling the “Constellation of the Sky” to have reliable imaging capabilities all day long and all-weather. The resolution can reach a standard of better than 0.3 meters, and it can clearly distinguish small objects. The accuracy of deformation and settlement monitoring can reach millimeter level.

Smart water conservancy may have a ‘new solution’. In the past, water resource allocation in irrigation areas relied heavily on local declarations, resulting in a mismatch of water resource matching. From the perspective of “Star View”, a new plan is proposed to comprehensively evaluate the water demand in various regions, taking into account the crop planting conditions and soil drought levels in the irrigation area, in order to avoid water resource waste.
